Wines 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon So, here's the deal. Chenin and I basically cut our teeth on Cabernet down in the Napa Valley. We met while working at Pine Ridge Winery and Chenin went on (after she landed a husband) to work for Groth Vineyards and Winery. We love Cabernet. In a lot of ways, it defines red wine. So while Syrah appeals to our wild side, Cabernet is right there with us as 'old faithful'! Click here for a more detailed explanation of this tough guy!
2005 Syrah Our second vintage of this wine follows in the big footsteps of the 2004 vintage. 2005 was a slightly warmer year in our vineyards and the wine shows a slightly more red fruit character than its older brother. 2004 Syrah Our debut wine is a 2004 Washington Syrah. We've been big fans of Syrah for a long time, and ever since moving to the great white north we've found that Washington is a great place for Syrah. Cool winters punctuated by hot, dry summers provide for a mouth watering combination. Now you may be thinking to yourself, 'aren't you an Oregon winery?' We prefer to think of ourselves as an American winery. Our wine experience has taken us across virtually the entire west coast. There are a lot of people out there who claim to be great wine tasters, some extremely notable winemakers among them. We like to think of ourselves as great wine drinkers! What's the difference? When was the last time you cracked open a bottle of wine, only to taste 3 sips of it? Exactly! We like to sit back and polish off a bottle or two, and we don't let a thing like geography get in the way of our pursuit of great drinking wine.
